We're Voting YES on the AFTRA Primetime TV Contract
"Our negotiating committee was made up 100% of dual card holders. In difficult economic times, with union give-backs everywhere, there are no money rollbacks in this contract, and the raises for working actors actors are better than usual. We achieved protection of consent for the entire backlog of actors' work for clips in New Media. And we chose not to negotiate by making unachievable demands. This contract is a win for actors and I'm proud to have been part of it."
"We negotiated an incredible contract with great gains for performers. In New Media, we not only got consent but jurisdiction, access to company records, a three-year sunset clause, and we made sure that when a covered performer works on an experimental new media production the entire show is covered. I believe in this AFTRA contract and look forward to seeing it ratified." --Gabrielle Carteris, Actor, AFTRA Negotiating Committee
