13 week rate for up to one year of use

FEES FOR USE IN MARKETS WITHIN LOUISIANA OTHER THAN NEW ORLEANS

A. TELEVISION (On-Camera & Off-Camera): Each Unit = $10
B. RADIO:                                                               Each Unit = $7

(Use applicable New Orleans session fee plus units for each city.)   

C. Markets and Unit weights:
• Baton Rouge, Lafayette & Shreveport = 2 units each
• Other markets = 1 unit each

TALENT PAYMENTS

Payment to all performers shall be by check made payable to the performer and delivered within 30 days of the performance.

HEALTH & RETIREMENT CONTRIBUTION 

A separate check in the amount of 14.8% of the talent gross compensation, including agent's commission, if any, must be issued to the AFTRA Health and Retirement Funds and mailed to AFTRA Health & Retirement Fund, P.O. Box 13673 Newark, NJ 07188-3673 within 30 days from the date of the session along with a completed form provided by AFTRA. 

Basic Information About Producing Work Under AFTRA Contracts in Louisiana:

• How can the work be covered ?
Any party to the specific production can be a signatory to the applicable AFTRA contract for the job.
   1. A company/advertiser ad agency, production house/company, producer, studio,  etc. can be a signatory to an AFTRA contract
by signing a letter of adherence on the following basis;
       a. For all work they produce covered by that contract (Full Signatory)
       b. For One Production Only (“OPO”)
   2. A paymaster, payroll company that handles talent payments, can serve as the “sole” signatory for an AFTRA job, if applicable.

• Rates
The AFTRA Codes provide for minimum rates, fees and conditions of employment. Agents and talent can negotiate for higher rates and better conditions.  (See rates for commercials made and used in Louisiana above.)

• Forms/Reports
Production reports/member reports provided by AFTRA must be completed and signed at the session by the producer, or its representative, and the performer. Forms available at AFTRA Miami - 800.330.2387. 

• Payments 
All required payments for local commercials are due within 30 days from the recording session/shoot.
