ABC Casting Project in Miami a Success!
ABC Television Network, in partnership with AFTRA, brought its Casting Project to Miami for the third time and held an entire day of auditions where 40 performers had the opportunity to show their talent on July 25, 2006. Any performer selected from this process will have the unique opportunity of participating in a Talent Showcase to be presented by ABC to industry participants in New York City at a later time. AFTRA Miami efforts generated more than 800 submissions for this project from the diverse talent pool in Florida.
AFTRA's partnership with ABC’s Casting Project is part of AFTRA’s ongoing effort to expand job opportunities for AFTRA members of color, people with disabilities, women, and seniors, as we team up with network television casting offices to produce showcases featuring promising actors.
ABC has a long-standing commitment to promoting diversity in the entertainment industry through a variety of projects administered by its Talent Development & Casting departments. The Casting Project offers an excellent opportunity for talent that might otherwise go unnoticed. ABC is branching out across the U.S. to hold auditions for the network’s upcoming pilots, Casting Project Talent Showcases, and Disney Entertainment.
