AFTRA-SAG Conservatory Presents BiCoastal/BiLingual

If you are considering opportunities in New York or Los Angeles you will be interested in attending BiCoastal/BiLingual, which will be the next Conservatory offering. The event will also address the advantages of being bilingual in any language, no matter what language is your other language.

                        Hosting the event are Tony Castillo and John Lordan.

Tony Castillo
 is currently in Los Angeles appearing as a series regular, Dr. Alfred Rivera, on the new television series, Watch Over Me, which premieres on December 4. Tony is a familiar fixture in Chicago through his numerous appearances in commercials, industrials and voice-overs where he is often asked to do the English version and the Spanish version. He is one of the busiest bilingual actors in Chicago. He has worked at several theatres in Chicago and Los Angeles, including The American Theatre Company, Straw Dogs, and The Chopin Theatre. Tony also runs his own highly respected public relations/media marketing firm and serves on the AFTRA Chicago Local board of directors.

John Lordan
spent 13 years living and working in New York and has spent a goodly amount of time in Los Angeles. He continues to return to New York and last year starred in Lady in a Box at The Cherry Lane Studio Theatre. In May, a filmed version was made with John opposite Sarita Choudhury. He also shot the pilot of the now cancelled TV series, Conviction in New York City. This summer he acted opposite Aaron Eckhart in the new movie, Bill. John has shot over 350 television commercials, numerous industrial films and voice-overs in NYC, LA and Chicago. His playwriting has won 20 national awards and a full fellowship from the Illinois Arts Council. His work has been produced in LA, NYC, Florida and has had readings coast to coast, with two scheduled in New York in 2007.
