Located in the heart of the Midwest, SAG-AFTRA Chicago has a local membership of more than 2,500 in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.

AFRA Chicago, chartered in 1938, became AFTRA Chicago in 1958 and SAG-AFTRA Chicago in 2012.

The Windy City has a lengthy history in every performance medium. From the halcyon days of network radio drama which lead to radio and television commercial work, Chicago has been home to a great talent pool. Our members work all SAG-AFTRA contracts including film, television, radio, commercials, entertainment, broadcast, industrials and sound recordings. As proud union professionals, many are also members of AEA.
